No Lie!

I wish I had recorded probably the coolest thing Meg has EVER done!  We went to Kali's class at school today because they earned a Movie/Popcorn/PJ party.   When the movie was over we went to Mr. B's room for Music.  He played a spunky little song that all the kids got to dance to.  In the middle of the song he had the kids form a circle and had some enter the middle one at a time to strut their stuff.   When Meg went into the middle she did a couple "moves" as she calls it . . . then out of NOWHERE she pulls a REVERSE BACK HEAD STAND without hands and spreads her two legs out in the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

{If you didn't understand that, she rolled backwards like a reverse summersault, but did a head stand instead of finishing the summersault}

Mr. B said in SHOCK . . . "Wo, that was SWEET, gimmy five!!!!!"

Yes . . . we have a freak'n GENIUS breakdancer on our hands!!!!!!!!!    :)

Bag'n It

Happy Birthday Lindsay!! We had a "Old Bag's" night out for a friends birthday. We brought her the garb and the hairspray to look the part {kudos Value Village}. Went and played mini-golf, debated BINGO but didn't want to offend, whacked each other with our handbags, then camped at the local Village Inn. Got hit on by "younger guys" (>80) . . . HUBBA HUBBA, arm wrestled, and returned home at 1:30am!! Yeah . . . we DON'T look good with grey!! :D Thanks going out to my mom who let me wear her mom's GRANDMA sweatshirt and pearls; and to Lindsay for having the birthday! It was fun :)

Next time . . . we should kick it new skool:)

Jason's "Special" Present

If you read our post on "Saturday Rituals", you would know that Jason LOVES Nutella on crepes.  (Be warned, be VERY warned, this stuff will add lips to your hips!)  His crepes have become all the rage with family and friends.  My mother now buys Nutella (gotta stock up at Costco when it's "in season"), and he taught my brother Jeff how to make them . . . making these pics so hilarious.  You have to know Jeff - Jason is also an avid WHITE popcorn AIR-POPPIN' man, thus enlightening Jeff to buy Jason a Theatre-Style Airpopper for christmas - novelties is his game!   The Heavens must have been open, because he 'dunked yet again.  We laughed when he opened it; and Jason said "swwweet".   Then he yelled as captured in #3 pic "DON'T TOUCH IT" to mess with the kids ever delicate brains.   So, here's to you Jeff . . . . . . No, YOU'RE spreadably delicious!!!

My New Blog

WOW!  That is all I can say!  Those of you who saw our last website . . . it is no longer in use . . . very sad.  BUT . . . I ventured into the blogspot world and hacked my way around HTML to create my own template style.  It has taken me a long time to figure things out . . . I obviously couldn't settle down on the generic templates blogspot has to offer.   Something about me that has to be different. So hope you like it . . . don't be surprised if you see something new next time :)

Piggybacks

The girls were falling all over the place trying to get each other to stay on their backs.  I finally got them to hold still for a quick second to capture the moment.  They barely got three steps in before they tumbled to the ground . . . if Owen didn't come push them over first.

Chez Smeds (French . . House of Smeds)

Christmastime in California . . . family pics were taken with Jason's side of the family.  We're not all together that often, so it was a perfect time to get them done.

Improvising

While Meg was at her Grandmas . . . she got into a box of packaging peanuts.  Since our snow is dwindling quickly . . . she used her creative imagination to make her own snow angel.  Good thing for Grandmas who take pictures and think things are cute . . . rather than a mom who most-likely would have given her a timeout!  Apparently I need to be more child-like :)
