Another Tooth

4 teeth and getting older!  And yes, her MOTHER pulled each one!
Where does the time go?

Painting

So our house has taken a longgggg time to paint.  2100sf, and before we moved in we got burnt out of painting quick!  Our master was deep red that we had to prime THREE times . . . then paint TWICE.  That alone was enough.  We also painted Owens', the girls' room, the loft (TV room), and hallway.  Leaving the main floor with vaulted ceilings untouched.  So a year later, we are trying it again.  You can see in the pics that the paint previous is PINK!!!  So, the ceiling will be white as well as this wall.  The remaining will be painted some earthy color TBA.

3 Days In The Making

Jason's mom sent us an Easter Care Package and one thing the kids loved was hatching their own chick.  They watched for THREE days to see what was going to come out of this mysterious egg of theirs.  Low and behold . . . their own slimy chick!

On Easter at the Kendall's . . . each family was in charge of decorating their own Easter Egg Pizza.  Kali & Meg are holding the pizza that our family decorated.  I guess it's as "egg-ish" as a pizza can get eh!

What a Beauty

The other day I told Kali to go brush her hair for school and this was how she returned. I tried hard not to laugh, but kindly told her that she could only have one pony-tail (thinking of a way not to offend her). So we redid her hair and off she went. Later that day I went to her class for her pizza party that they won with the most Box Tops. And low and behold, the ‘do was BACK!! Good thing kindergartners aren’t cruel with hairdos . . . at least I’m assuming. :)

Houston, We Have A Problem

Owen found our PERMANENT MARKERS!!!! This was a fun one to clean up! Jason’s work uses Sharpies constantly, so he brings them home and they are everywhere. So Owen found a new toy and boy was it fun to clean up! The poor kid got loofah’ed till he was red. As for the mouth, no soap there, just let time do it’s course. Sharpies have always been in drawers, but are now hidden!

Saturday Rituals

Jason served his mission in Bordeaux, France. So he started a tradition with our kids of having crepes for breakfast. Apparently Frenchies like it with sugar and lemon juice. Good, but my personal favorite is strawberries and powder sugar. The kids and Jason on the other hand, like something not quite on my “get more fit” list. They LOVE to spread Nutella on theirs. It is EXTREMELY yummy! For those of you who don’t know what Nutella is, it is chocolate made out of Hazel Nuts. A more milk chocolate-y taste. If you haven’t tried it, you MUST!

We can’t believe we have a six year old! It is so exciting to see your kids grow older and learn new things. But when reality hits, it’s no surprise that we really deep down inside want to freeze them just the way they are and not let them get a day older. Kali is an addition to our family that we couldn’t live without. She is a creative, mellow, loving and compassionate girl. She loves her family and is a major help around the house. We love our Kali Girl and hold dear the memories we’ve had so far of her and look forward to what blessings and memories she will bring us in the years to come.
